- In May 1962, the Italian luxury passenger liner Antonia Grazar suddenly disappeared into thin air along with hundreds of passengers on board when it sailed near the Bering Strait, becoming one of the famous unsolved cases in modern maritime history. In 2002, a Canadian Air Force plane spotted a small boat drifting in the area, and the pilot, Jack Freeman (Desmond Harrington), was fascinated by the secret behind the boat and hired Captain Sean Murphy (Gabriel Byrne) and his search and rescue team to go to the high seas to find the aimless passenger ship.
